Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Introduction

Stable Channels is a self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning wallet. You control your private keys. We do not have access to your funds.

Data Collection

The app collects minimal data. Price data is fetched from public APIs (Kraken, Bitstamp, Coinbase, CoinGecko, Blockchain.com). Push notification device tokens are stored on our server solely for delivering payment notifications. No personal information is collected, stored, or shared.

Self-Custody

All funds are held in Lightning channels and on-chain Bitcoin wallets controlled by your device. We cannot access, freeze, or move your funds. You are solely responsible for securing your seed phrase.

Third-Party Services

The app connects to a Liquidity Service Provider (LSP) for channel management. The LSP facilitates Lightning channel operations but does not have custody of your funds. Price data is sourced from third-party APIs.

No Guarantees / Disclaimer

Stable Channels is experimental open-source software provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The software may contain bugs. Bitcoin and Lightning Network transactions are irreversible. You assume all risk associated with using this software. We are not responsible for any loss of funds due to software bugs, user error, or any other cause. Past performance of any trading or stability feature does not guarantee future results.
